Question: What exactly do you do as an executive producer of Cereal Time? I've wondered for a long time what they do. It's clear that writers write and set designers design the sets and the costume people arrange the costumes and what have you, but I've never had any idea about what executive producers do. (Not intended in any belittling way; all I have is genuine curiousty)

Answer:

I mostly pay people. At the moment Cereal Time costs more than it makes, so my job is mostly to pay everyone to do their jobs, help figure out what those jobs are, and occasionally bug people about doing their jobs slightly differently to make the show better, ore more likely to become sustainable.

Before Cereal Time fans panic, it’s totally OK that the show doesn’t make money right now. Though eventually, of course, I hope it becomes something that stops losing money, and there may come a time where we’ll ask you for help with that.
