Is it Taboo to have Really Long Posts on Tumblr?

This is an interesting question, because Tumblr is largely reblogs of cat GIFs. I will often write posts that are SEVERAL PARAGRAPHS long, and sometimes, straight-up, multi-page essays. 

When I first joined Tumblr I remember thinking maybe that was wrong or bad, since I was new to the community and worrying about what the customs were. But then I realized “If there’s a blogging platform that isn’t ok with, like, outright blog posts…I don’t want to be a part of that.”

So I decided that writing long posts was OK, because I liked Tumblr, and if it wasn’t OK, then I wouldn’t like Tumblr anymore.
